I chose to pursue ASR training early in my real estate career because it takes commitment to superior Seller representation to the highest level.

All training is geared specifically to impact the quality of exclusive Seller Representation, the effectiveness of the marketing campaign, offer negotiation, and ultimately the client’s financial outcome.  It is a designation not commonly seen in the industry, but one I feel is a basic requirement for any agent who plans to list a property for sale.

Agents who have completed the 90 hours of in-depth coursework required in GRI training are better able to serve their clients because of their understanding of new technology, laws and procedures, professional standards and the sales process.  Subjects covered include the process of marketing, customer and client services, cultural diversity; legal and regulatory issues such as fair housing, brokerage relationships, contracts, environmental issues; general matters of technology such as it relates to communications and real estate business technology; and professional standards including the NAR Code of Ethics and Standards, arbitration and mediation.

Short sales and foreclosures have quickly become the new traditional real estate transaction. Fortunately, our Collin County & DFW areas were not hit with distressed properties as hard as the west and east coasts, but knowing how to help Sellers maneuver the complexities of short sales and foreclosure opportunities are still critical in our area today.  Short sale transactions in particular, however are not for the faint of heart – they take nerves of steel and unwavering determination to see them through to completion.  I have found that many agents are both unprepared and unwilling to delve into the murky waters of distressed properties.  Because of my SFR training and years of experience with distressed properties, my clients are able to take advantage of the financial opportunities afforded by this significant sector of the marketplace.

Becoming a member of the Council of Residential Specialists is considered by industry experts to be the most rigorous and professional residential designation available to REALTORS®.  Years of experience, numerous Buyer-side and Seller-side transactions and many, many, many hours of classroom education are required to qualify for the CRS designation.  CRS Designees comprise just 4 percent of all REALTORS® nationwide and are among the premier agents in the industry for education and transaction experience.
